A Little About Me
I am an up-and-coming designer who has been creative & imaginative from a young age. Even as a young child, I read voraciously, loved to draw with my Crayolas, and even wrote short stories. Today, that love has transformed into Alley9 Creative Studio and my graphic design blog. I am ambitious, driven, & passionate about art and communications. In May, I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics Technology from the School of Technology and a minor in Psychology from the School of Liberal Arts. Currently, I stay busy with my freelance design projects, watching horror flicks with my boyfriend, keeping my dogs exercised, playing Guitar Hero and Wii, sketching, and crocheting scarves and blankets.
Professional Recommendation
"...The students in the Computer Graphics Technology Department at Purdue University are
educated on technological issues connected to well-designed marketing collateral. Because of
this, Nicolle can design digital assets, such as logos and ads that can be printed. She
understands file formats and is well-versed in the Adobe Suite.
Nicolle has a strong and creative aptitude for illustration and design. She has a wide range of
graphic design skills ranging from illustration to interactive design. Nicolle has won a number
of awards while at Purdue. While an undergraduate, Nicolle took the initiative to gain
technical, art, and production experience in several internships and work environments
outside of the classroom. She has worked this past year as the graphic designer for the
Marketing and Communications Department of the College of Technology.
Since I worked as an art director in Phoenix, Arizona, I understand that a good part of a
manager’s role is working with people. Nicolle is a quiet leader. She is professional and has
class. She is talented, focused, and gets the job done. This, I believe, makes her exceptionally valuable. Working in the Greater Lafayette area is a perfect place for her. She loves this part
of the Midwest..."
